How Bosses Think: The Principles Of A True Player In The Game Of Life

Many people - probably most people - equate success with status, fame, and money. Some people feel that success means being on the highest level among the elite. Being the best or one of the best.

A few people have philosophical views about success. Like: being on track with one's goals and in control of one's destiny.

Who can say that any of these beliefs about success are wrong?

The most important thing is how you feel success is defined in YOUR life. What Success means to You.

You don't have to be a tycoon, a celebrity, or a guru, to live the good life or for your life to be a success. The main point is how you feel about your Self and your life as a whole.

Do you feel your life is secure?

Are you proud of where you are in your life right now?

Are you satisfied in what you've accomplished up to this point?

Are you confident in where you are going?

Are you able to trust and feel at ease with the people in your life?

Are you enjoying life?

If your mind is full of doubt in any one of these things, you should learn and study the habits of successful people to turn your life around. When you start to learn the habits of successful people you will begin to have a more focused mentality. Your awareness level will be turned up a notch. Your mind will expand, because it will make you see people, human interaction, and yourself in a different light.

You will be enlightened and have a new perspective on life.

But!

Don't overwhelm yourself with research. It will bore you to death or make you depressed and stagnant.

Live and Enjoy your life. Learn these habits one step at a time.

Practice the habits daily. That's the key. Make them rules and philosophies that you live by.

Act out what you learn. Don't just learn and analyze. Use the principles and incorporate them into your game.

Just as the True Players in the Game are the essence of The Player's Lifestyle, your game is the essence of your lifestyle. It will determine whether you are failure or a success. It will determine whether you are a Boss or a bum.

There are many principles of life that will help you achieve your idea of Success. They can be found in millions of great books. They can be found in millions of videos. They can be discovered through everyday human interaction or observation. Write them down and live by them religiously.

Now... If you're 100% positive that you are ready to elevate your mind and your lifestyle - without fear, doubt, or reservation - If you're ready to be the Boss of your life, take heed then to these few principles that True Players live by:

Tact in dealing with people (often called "people skills")

They have Faith in themselves and their abilities (Moreover, many of them have Faith in something Greater than themselves. They know they are blessed and "Special" above the average man or woman.)

Asking critical and important questions

Strategy and Timing

Being Assertive

Taking Action

They have a clear vision of what they want, where they are going, and GENERALLY what they need to do (each step and every goal). Sometimes things change. Sometimes "shit happens". Sometimes, someone will throw a monkey-wrench in your plans. Adapt and adjust if it's to your overall benefit or if it's "good politics" (in your business relationship, romantic relationship, or family/social relationship). But, don't change your plans for foolishness.

Being creative

Being aware of what's going on in your industry and area of expertise

Being independent and not waiting for handouts

Looking for options

Avoiding too many tasks, opportunities, ideas

Organization and Structure

They plan

Having resources, friends, and allies

Willing to take risks

Being Bold

Having good instincts

They don't make excuses. They're up, ready, and strive to get the task done

They KNOW they must research, hustle, and work hard. When you have that mindset, the job is a lot easier. "Hard work; Easy money."

They don't back down - especially when they have leverage and know how to negotiate.

They follow the rules and live by the code, BUT... know when to bend the rules also.

They know their priorities and respect each of those priorities in the order they've established.

They don't tolerate bullshit or foolishness. They avoid it and handle their business.

These are a few reasons why True Players live the good life and The Player's Lifestyle.

How Do I Get Started? Where Do I Start?

If you want to do something with your life (other than what you are doing right now), you must CREATE a Goal.

Stop sittin' around on your ass brain-storming and thinking about "what you like and don't like" and "what you're good at" and "what you're interested in" and all that other crap!

Get the party started:

"Establish a Goal."

I know you've heard that saying a million times before, but it works.

The easiest thing to do is to write it down on a piece of paper and put it on your wall - by your bed or by your door.

When you wake up or when you get ready to go out to conquer the world, you want your goal to be the first thing you see. You want to stay focused on it. Burn it into the forefront of your brain.

If you have a desk, put it in a picture frame and stick in on your desk so that you see it.

If you can't stick on your wall by the door, put it on your wall by your bed.

"What if I don't know what I want to do?"

There could be a number of reasons why you're having a mental roadblock right now. I only want to list two of them.

One: You're distracted by other issues and problems. Too worried or angry to think straight.

Two: You're distracted by your interactions (or drama) with people.

Three: You're not aware of (or considering) the main issues in your life you want to resolve.

Four: You are limiting yourself and not considering other options or exploring other opportunities.

Think of your Major Goal. Then, work your way backwards.

Create a "Things To Do List".

Write down what you will NEED to do to achieve that goal and things that will give you the power, energy, and focus to achieve the goal.

Your needs will be any tools, training, supplies, resources, conversations or meetings, etc.

The things that will help keep you focused, powerful, and driven, are your personal necessities - the things you need to survive and the things you need to do to keep your mind and your world sharp and efficient.

Take care of these things right away so that you don't have to think about them.

Keeping yourself "ahead of the game" is what this is all about.

Don't allow the crap to pile up and overwhelm you. That's disrespectful to your Self. And, it makes it harder for you to concentrate on your Major Goal.

Moreover, be certain that the goal you're choosing is a Major Goal. Or, is it really a stepping stone to something bigger that you want to achieve???

Be sure that you have your Major Goal and Minor Goals written down all around you.

I like to use index cards and scotch tape my goals and "things to do" list on my walls.

Don't write your goals down so small that you have to hold the paper to your eyeball to see it. Write it Big enough so that it catches your attention easily. You want to be able to read Goal from anywhere in the room.

In fact, write it all down with a black marker (fine point) so that it's bold and stands out.

Don't hesitate, and don't be lame. If you want to be a Boss, you gotta' get in the game.

Get your hustle on right now.

Develop Confidence In Conversation, Communication, and Speaking

Now, I don't want you to think I'm trying to pass myself off as some communication or public speaking guru but, trust me when I tell you that improving your conversation, communication, and certain social skills, will help boost your Confidence and Lifestyle.

Even if you are superb at "communication" and getting your point across, improving your social skills can still help you get more happiness and greater opportunities out of life. Even if you're a tyrant, a bully, or a manager you can benefit just by the way you approach people, negotiate, delegate, interrogate, and show common courtesy and respect.

Now, I'm not saying that you should let anyone run all over you or be more humble or more passive. That would only lead to your downfall (or poor sales). I know there are times when you have to be assertive and commanding. Hell, if you're paid to be in charge, then be in charge. But, know that you create better vibes, more effort, and more opportunities when you lead with "good social skills" or "people skills".

(I'm starting to ramble...)

So, anyway...

The bottom line is:

If being in social settings make you nervous, uneasy, uncomfortable, or shy, research and develop your communication and social skills.

- learn from some of the gurus and their books or videos
- read (and when you have time, read out loud)
- learn scripts (similar to sales or medical questioning and advising scripts)
- create your own scripts or memorize and act-out certain passages and dialogue in a book
- role-play
- learn acting
- create communication and social rituals where you plan to say or do certain things everyday.
- learn social and communication skills from others
- don't doubt your social and communication skills too much; jump in and interact, and just go with the flow of statements and questions; if you don't know much about the subject just listen, learn, and ask questions

This will give you a significant boost in personal power because you will stop seeing simple situations as  challenges for you to give a perfect "performance" and instead see these social situations as opportunities to have fun, learn, produce, and contribute to your growth, prosperity, and future. AND, you're helping the people you talk to in the same way. So, there's no reason for you to be nervous. You definitely should feel good about that.

Find Your Alter-Ego And Get Rid Of Shyness

One of the best ways to improve confidence is through preparation for an event or situation. When you know (or sort of know) what to expect or what might happen, you don't have to think and worry about the unexpected. Your brain and instincts takeover and allow you to enjoy the moment. You know what's coming and what's about to happen so you don't feel anxious and nervous.

You become more engaged with your date (or friends)... And you're able to relax and have a good time.

Or, show off your "skills" and wit.

Or, ask better questions to get others engaged and talking.

Preparation is something you should practice often. It will make social situations become a lot more natural to you. And, you'll feel just as comfortable and have a good time like everyone else.

But, another way to improve your confidence and to get rid of shyness is by DISCOVERING and USING your Alter-Ego. We all have one - a fierce and courageous personality that roams on a higher level within our psyche.

A higher level of Energy.

A higher Force.

A higher Power.

A higher level of strength and confidence that we are able to tap into IF we are willing to move out of our comfort zone and face our challenges and tests in life.

Beyonce talked about having an alter-ego: "Sasha Fierce".

Other celebrities use their alter-egos to conquer stage fright or to deal with the public.

Some salespeople rely on their alter-ego to deal with strong-willed customers in negotiations.

Many ordinary people (especially the ones who go out to night clubs) have alter-egos that they call upon before they go out at night, because they want to feel confident and have a good time.

Actors, I'm sure, have an alter-ego (or maybe even multiple personalities) to get into their acting roles as superheroes or action heroes or as sex symbols.

There's nothing wrong with that. You should dig deep and discover yours.

Sometimes you have to get in the Zone and take your mindset to that next level if you want to conquer your fears - or a particular situation.

I'm convinced that a lot of guys and girls (women) out there could discover who they are in life or what they really want to do in life if they weren't afraid to be WHO THEY REALLY ARE. They've always been what OTHER people wanted them to be. They've always done what OTHER people have wanted them to do. Their True Self (maybe their true Ego) is hidden way way Way down deep within their psyche (or subconscious). And, they're afraid to let it out!

These shy and awkward-feeling folks are "out of touch" and afraid to approach and meet new people.

They're afraid to face certain challenges in life.

They only dream about the life they want and don't believe in themselves enough to make that life come true.

They need to say "Fuck it", and just go for what they want out of life.

Don't worry about being rejected or failing or making mistakes. Just do it.

Everybody makes mistakes.

Learn. Use your instincts. Do your due diligence and research so that you can minimize mistakes. But, don't let Fear keep you from moving forward or growing or meeting new people.

Use your Alter-Ego and boost your Confidence!

Sometimes it may take another person to bring out that extra boost and confidence you need.

It's possible a mentor can help you find your true self or your alter-ego.

Sometimes it might take a certain situation to bring out these emotions or the character and Power you need to change your life or boost your Confidence.

Don't fall into the "cookie-cutter" model...

Alter-Egos come in all shapes and sizes and colors.

Some are like Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft.

Some are like Edward Cullen, the vampire character of the Twilight Series.

Some are like Oprah Winfrey, the media mogul.

Some are like RockStars.

Some have the coolness and suaveness of the actor Denzel Washington.

Yours will be unique to You and give you the strength you need to be a true Leader.

You only have to find ways to draw it out.

And, it will be unique and stronger than you ever imagined.

Walk tall and let it overtake your senses, emotions, character, and personality. And when it does, hold fast to it and do the right thing for your life and for love.

Never Doubt Yourself Or Your Mission

(From the archives of Maximum.Dzl)

One thing that Really pisses me off and makes me despise haters and doubters is when those losers try to make a Player or an Aspiring Player feel ashamed about his or her goal or job.

And, what pisses me off even more than that is when a Player who's doing his or her job well - or one who is in excellent pursuit of his or her goal - stops focusing on the goal or abandons his or her job because of what those jackasses are saying.

Why listen to people who have no vision? Or, people who have no ambition? They don't know what you're doing or what you're capable of.

Ignore those bums. Let those jackasses laugh and talk.

There are - and have been - many Players who got laughed at because of their dreams and ambitions. Now, these Players are laughing all the way to the bank. Or, they're living a better life. On their journey they didn't let all of those laughing idiots slow them down or break their spirit. They went on to accomplish their goals and dreams.

Why? Because True Players stay focused. They see the big picture. They stay passionate and enthusiastic about what they're doing. They keep studying, learning, and practicing. They keep making contacts and improving their resources. And, they keep working smarter and smarter. They keep making moves towards their goal.

If you're doing what you do well, and believe in it, and know that it's useful (to you or others), then screw those assholes.

Those damn bums (the haters and doubters) will say anything to try to get you off the path to wealth, riches, honor, and good karma - or whatever you desire. Those jibba-jabbin'-jackasses are gonna yap yap yap all day long, so don't worry about it.

They'll do and say anything to get you rattled, upset, and un-focused. But, you've got to keep looking ahead. You've got to keep your eyes and mind focused on the big picture.

You know what you're doing is right because it makes you feel good and it's useful so, screw those bums. Keep your game tight and stay in the zone. Don't change your path or stop what you're doing unless your instincts lead you to change.

I remember a song by 50 Cent, the rapper, that included the line "You sing for hoes and sound like the Cookie Monster".

At the time, he and another rapper, JaRule, were arch-rivals if not enemies. Well, the song by 50 Cent was "hot" and it got people to talking and laughing at JaRule. And, I don't remember JaRule "singing to hoes" after that.

Now, I'm not gonna lie. It ticked me off. Not because I'm a fan of JaRule and hate 50 Cent. They both put out some good music. I don't care if they're enemies (although, I wish they weren't), I had both of their CDs in my collection. But, the thing that ticked me off was that JaRule got off of his game. He came back with some other hot songs and was still a fan favorite but he was quiet for a while.

I didn't even think it was a contradiction when 50 Cent started "singing to hoes" because he never really said it was a bad thing to "sing to hoes". He just stated an observation. All he said was JaRule was "singing to hoes" and sounded like the Cookie Monster. So, why did Jah stop singing to the hoes when they were buying his albums like hotcakes and swooning all over him like he was the Next Denzel Washington?

He should've kept his mind focused, stayed on his game, sung up a damn storm.

I would've been at home practicing and practicing until I sounded like damn Barry White or Frank Sinatra.

If you've got a talent for something (or, if you've found your "calling in Life"), stay at it and keep improving yourself until you're one of the best at it. Once you "claim it" no one can take it away from you. That's one of the Cosmic Laws of the Universe.

Don't give up and don't worry about what anyone else says. Let your instincts and enthusiasm be your guide. You're a Player and that's what Player's do.

Your instincts will tell you to hold on or to let go. Stop only when You wanna stop. Stop only when You decide it's not the path for you OR when various situations and circumstances lead you towards a new destiny.

The same holds true for something you need or want: "Follow your Instincts".

Screw what the haters and doubters think. They're probably just mad because they can't be you.

So, follow your Dreams and Stay on the path to The Good Life and The Player's Lifestyle. In the end, it'll be You sittin' on top of the World, looking down on the haters and doubters, and getting the last laugh.

A Supreme Way To Become Confident

Let's say you have a goal - a Dream to become something or to accomplish something.

For the moment, this goal or dream is your mission in Life. It's your new job.

Now, as with any new job, there are certain procedures you must follow and skills you must learn to do the job.

You will learn how to set-up your work station and create the proper working environment so that you can use your skills to sell, produce, or to accomplish certain tasks safely and efficiently.

During your training, you will pick up certain tips and tricks to make your job easier and your skills more effective. You'll have hands on experience and practice this crap everyday to improve your skills and game.

You will also learn what you need to do and how to respond when things go wrong. This will also improve your game.

After a few weeks, or several months, or a year (depending on the job), you will have enough skill and ability necessary to handle almost any problem that comes your way. You won't even think twice about it. If something goes out of whack or a customer has an objection, you know what to do. Even if you don't KNOW the answer or proper response, you know the logical thing to do is to get someone that does so that you can correct the situation quickly and move on.

More than likely, you're doing this on your current job right now.

You don't worry because you know how to respond if there's a problem.

And, that's what makes you confident in your ability to go to work, know your job, and do it without having any second thoughts about it. You could probably do that job with your eyes closed. Am I right?

You don't need a manager or supervisor standing over your shoulder coaching you. As a matter of fact, you could probably teach him or her a few things and train any newbie that came through the front door because you know what to do to get the job done and how to respond if any issues should come up. So, your confidence in doing your job is supreme. You're not afraid of screwing up or confused about what to do. You know what to do and you do it.

This is the way it is with having confidence while trying to accomplish your goals.

You learn the ropes.

You learn how to respond if there's an obstacle or objection or a roadblock.

If you don't know what to do, you look for advice and ask questions of people who have experience with the situation. Or, you go to the source and ask what you need to do next. Don't forget to think things through, research, and get a second opinion of other professionals or people in the know.

The key is "how you deal with the situation" or "respond" when problems arise.

It doesn't matter if you're trying to get a new job, get assistance, get a date, start a business, or if you're learning a sport.

When you know how to respond and deal with the situation, you should not be overly nervous, worried, or afraid.

You make moves. You use your game to overcome the drama. You look to the resources available for help.

You do whatever you need to do to keep your momentum going and that's all you should be concerned about.

No, it's not all cut and dried or easy, but it will become easier as you learn and move along. So, don't run from the drama. Complain, rant, and rave, if it helps you to stay motivated but welcome the obstacles. Learn how to deal with them so that you will know what it takes to accomplish this goal as you have learned what it takes to overcome the obstacles and problems on your job. Respond like a Gladiator and go to war with the issue. Use your supreme game and defeat it.

And, don't let one setback keep you down. I don't care if you've got to call around all day or travel from where you are to Timbuktu! Make moves and handle your business! That's having the eye of the Tiger and one of the most supreme ways to stay and become confident.
